Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan has celebrated youngster Abdul Fatawu Issahaku after the Leicester City forward hit his famous dance celebration during the game against Charlton Athletic in the English Championship.

The 21-year-old scored a sensational curler to secure victory for the Foxes at the Valley and immediately performed Gyan’s iconic 2010 goal celebration dance.

After the match, Isshaku shared the moment on social media, which saw him receive widespread praise and also courting the attention of the ex-Ghana captain. Gyan’s hit song with the late Castro de Destroyer was also used for the social media post.

Gyan posted under the video on Instagram: “Legacy, my legend.”

The former Ghana striker is known across England for the popular celebration, after performing it several times while playing for Sunderland.

Meanwhile, Issahaku, who recently returned from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury, is hoping to score more goals as Leicester eye a quick return to the Premier League.

The Ghana international has now netted a goal in three Championship games this season.
