Black Stars legend, Asamoah Gyan has been training and sharpening the skills of Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo, The Sun has reported.

According to the SunSport, the former Sunderland striker has been watching his compatriot’s clips and videos to provide feedback on his performances since May 2026.

It was revealed that Gyan played a key role in Semenyo’s decision to renew his contract with Bournemouth, believing the player has what it takes to reach the top level of Premier League football if he avoids rushing and takes a careful, strategic approach.

Semenyo is said to idolise Gyan and views him as the ideal role model to help reshape his striking instincts and maintain his form.

With Gyan’s record in the Premier League scoring 10 goals in 34 matches for Sunderland, Semenyo believes the legendary forward can help refine his career.

Despite interest from Manchester United and Liverpool, Semenyo is willing to wait and make a move at the right time, following Gyan’s expert advice.

According to SunSport, a source close to Semenyo said, “He’s very happy to have someone like Gyan in his inner circle, and the former striker’s experience is helping him control his temper and confidence, both key factors in his strong start to the season.”

Semenyo has scored six goals in nine games in the 2025/2026 Premier League season.
