The warm reunion between former Black Stars captains, Asamoah Gyan and André Dede Ayew became one of the standout moments of the 50th SWAG Awards.

As the legends arrived at the Grand Arena for the 50th Swag Awards on Saturday, November 15, 2025, the atmosphere shifted with excitement with the reunion between Asamoah Gyan and Dede Ayew.

Cameras flashed and fans applauded as Asamoah Gyan and Andre Dede Ayew gave the audience an unforgettable exchange.

The duo, who shared a warm embrace at the SWAG Awards, had long been rumoured to be rivals due to the captaincy dispute during their time with the Black Stars, but they have clearly put those reports to rest.

Gyan and Ayew embraced each other warmly, smiling broadly and sharing a brief but heartfelt conversation. Baffour Gyan, the senior brother of Asamoah Gyan also joined the two as they catch up.

The gesture which was simple and brief won over the crowd who responded with cheers in the auditorium.

The reunion of Asamoah Gyan, Dede Ayew, and Baffour Gyan ultimately became the emotional heartbeat of the 50th SWAG Awards.
