Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has praised Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey for delivering one of his best performances for the North London club in their game against Portuguese side Sporting CP on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

Following his goal in Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday, November 23, 2024, Partey produced another impressive display against Sporting CP.

Partey’s ability to control the midfield and his delightful dink to release Bukayo Saka, who set up Kai Havertz’s goal to double Arsenal’s lead, earned high accolades from his coach.

“I think it’s one of the best performances I have seen from him, especially the way he dominated the game. That’s the level he can play at; he’s progressing, this year, he’s been so consistent because he always has a role. That’s a big thing. He’s a massive player for us,” Arteta said via Arsenal.com

Despite his history of injuries, Partey has been a consistent presence this season. He has featured in all 12 of Arsenal’s Premier League matches and all five of their Champions League games, building an impressive body of work.

Arsenal’s win over Sporting CP moved them up to seventh in the Champions League table. They have now secured back-to-back victories after a three-game winless streak and currently sit fourth in the Premier League standings.
