Nico Wiliams is a forward for Athletic Club
Spanish-born winger of Ghanaian descent, Nico Williams, according to reports from Spanish outlet El Nacional, remains on Arsenal’s radar as they prepare to compete for his signature in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a standout season last year, registering eight goals and providing 19 assists for Athletic Club in over 30 appearances.
His impressive performances have attracted interest from several top clubs, including FC Barcelona, where he was heavily linked before ultimately deciding to extend his stay at the Estadio San Mamés.
Nico had a slow start to the 2024/25 season but is gradually finding his form, having made 30 appearances so far with nine-goal involvements.
He is expected to push for more as the season progresses.
Reports suggest that Premier League giants Arsenal, who have been plagued by injuries, are considering a move for Nico in the summer transfer window.
However, they are well aware of the competition from other top clubs, making the pursuit a challenging one.
Williams played a crucial role in Spain’s fourth European Championship triumph in Germany, contributing three goals throughout the tournament in 2024, including a vital strike in the final against England.
