Premier League giants Arsenal and Newcastle United are preparing to go head-to-head in the race to sign Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth in the upcoming January transfer window.

Semenyo, 24, has caught the attention of both clubs with his standout performances this season, scoring three goals in seven league appearances.

According to reports from Fichajes, both Arsenal and Newcastle are preparing €40 million bids for the talented winger, but Bournemouth may hold out for a higher fee due to his long-term contract, which runs until 2029.

Arsenal are seeking to bolster their squad depth as they compete in multiple competitions, including the UEFA Champions League. Semenyo’s versatility is seen as a valuable asset to rotate with key attackers like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United is looking to add more firepower alongside Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon to continue their rise in English football.

As the January transfer window approaches, both clubs will be vying for the Ghanaian’s signature, and it remains to be seen where Semenyo will land.
