If reports in the English press are anything to go by, then Arsenal and Manchester City are set to go head-to-head for Ghanaian footballer Mohammed Kudus.

According to reports, the two clubs are looking to sign the West Ham United forward as they seek to bolster their forward lines ahead of the second half of the 2024/2025 season.

According to TalkSports, Arsenal are internally discussing the signing of Mohammed Kudus in the January transfer window following an injury to star player Bukayo Saka.

Saka sustained a hamstring injury in Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Crystal Palace, with the winger expected to be out for eight weeks.

With Arsenal not having a natural replacement for their key player, Mikel Arteta has reportedly turned to Kudus, with the Gunners ready to meet West Ham’s valuation of the player.

The rumor of Arsenal’s interest follows a report by news portal Fichajes that Pep Guardiola has identified Mohammed Kudus as one of the players who could help turn around City’s disastrous season.

The report states that Manchester City are convinced that their impending bid of €80 million will be enough to convince West Ham to release one of their key players.

The report comes on the back of Kudus’ goal for West Ham in the Premier League against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 24-year-old headed home the equalizer for West Ham, who managed to hold on and pick up a point at home.
