Socialite Reno Omokri has shared his thoughts on arranged marriages, asserting that they are the most successful type of union.

In a post on his Instagram page, Omokri argued that arranged marriages have a significantly lower divorce rate compared to those based on love.

“There’s nothing wrong with your parents, siblings, or other relatives setting you up with an arranged marriage. In fact, arranged marriages are the most successful unions on Earth,” he wrote.

He backed his opinion with statistics, saying, “Fact-check me: The divorce rate for so-called ‘love marriages’ is between 40-50%, while the divorce rate for arranged marriages is only 4%. And it is very scriptural.”

He further referenced biblical examples to support his view.

“The marriage of Isaac and Rebecca was arranged by Abraham. Laban arranged Jacob’s marriage to Leah. Pharaoh set up Joseph’s marriage to Asenath,” he asserted.
