    Two Persons including the driver of a taxi cab are currently battling for their lives after being attacked by some suspected armed robbers on the Odumasi-Akrofum road close to Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.

    MyNewsGh.com gathered that the suspected robbers had attacked a white Hyundai i10 taxi cab with registration number AC 379-25 with the victims onboard and in the process, it veered off the road.

    A distressed call was made to the Obuasi Divisional Command who rushed to the scene and spotted the taxi cab with blood stains all over and with six gunshot holes on both the driver’s and passengers’ sides.

    Police investigators were told that one of the victims after the attack was rushed to Coleman A. M. E Zion Hospital at Aduaneyede near Obuasi, where victim Gifty Yeboah, 19, was identified while on admission and receiving treatment.

    Police then visited the AGA Hospital at Obuasi, and met the second victim, Samuel Arhin, 39 who was in charge of the taxi cab with a big gunshot wound on his mouth, at the emergency ward, receiving treatment,

    Informants have been engaged to assist Police in arresting the suspects for investigations.
