Applaud authorities in the creative arts industry when they initiate new measuresGhanaian actor Bill Asamoah

Ghanaian actor Bill Asamoah has called on Ghanaians and fellow creatives to be grateful to the leaders in the creative arts industry when they implement new measures.

In an interview on Poleeno Multimedia on November 14, 2024, the renowned actor noted with concern how some people tend to lash out at authorities of the Ghana movie industry if they find their policies uncomfortable.

“Inasmuch as we are lambasting the authorities for the decline of the industry, we should also applaud them when they bring in measures so the industry would be on a very sound footing,” he said.

Bill Asamoah also urged young actors in the country to register under the Ghana Actor Guild.

“If you are an actor, all you need to do is to join the Ghana Actors Guild so it can protect you. Because, it is like a welfare policy, which can protect you when in trouble… Joining it can also qualify you in a lot of things.

“Imagine while on set, and the tax force comes around to check your credentials, and you can present your card as a member of the Ghana Actors Guild, you know that alone can exonerate you from further probing. Also, producers working with actors are supposed to join the producers association,” he added.
