Carl Ampofo Appiah Kubi, the artiste manager of musician Beeztrap, has denied allegations by media personality Abro that he demanded GH¢10,000 before permitting the artiste to appear on Fakye Showbiz
In a recent interview with GhanaWeb’s Joseph Henry Mensah on April 22, 2025, Carl Ampofo described the allegations as completely false and a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation as well as that of his artiste.
He said he was shocked upon chancing on the news circulating in the media, stating that he had never spoken to any staff from the media house.
“I have never been in touch with anyone from Fakye TV and I didn’t even know of their show until that show even came up. I was there one morning and one of our guys forwarded the interview to me and I asked if it was a fabricated story because I was trying to find out what went wrong,” he said.
Beeztrap’s manager further called on the media house to issue an unqualified apology for damaging his reputation.
He emphasised that he would take legal action if they failed to do so.
“As a media house didn’t do their research well. If you want to reach an artiste… Even if you go to the page there are numbers linked to us. I don’t know why you have to pass through someone else and just spread false news about me.
“I feel bad about it honestly. This is a kick-off in my career and what message are they giving to other media houses? This can affect me so many different ways. They should come out and clarify things. Or our lawyers would take them on,” he added.
