Former Asante Kotoko Board Chairman Herbert Mensah has shared his thoughts on the chances of the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based LUV FM, Herbert Mensah admitted the national team has faced several challenges over the years but praised the players for always giving their best whenever they represent Ghana.
“The Black Stars have seen this through the history of time, poor administration, and yet the players themselves try their hardest to produce something special,” he said.
The former Kotoko chairman also believes Ghana faces a difficult challenge at the upcoming tournament, especially considering the quality of teams in their group.
“I think this time it will be a little bit difficult for them. The balance of where they go in terms of the group means that anything is possible,” he added.
Ahead of the tournament, Carlos Queiroz and his team will continue preparations with friendly matches against Mexico later this month and Wales on June 2.
Ghana will open their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 before facing England on June 23 and Croatia on June 27.
