Andoni Iraola, the manager of Bournemouth, has revealed that Antoine Semenyo will play a key role in Bournemouth’s upcoming festive fixtures.

He also mentioned that Semenyo missing the Cherries’ 4-2 win against Wolves on Saturday, November 30, 2024, could ultimately benefit the team.

With tough fixtures ahead, including matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, Iraola emphasised the significance of Semenyo’s role for the squad.

“We will have Antoine back; he is obviously an important player, and he was doing very well. With the international break he had, I think we will see it as a positive. He can have a short break and then be ready for a very demanding month of December,” Iraola said during a pre-game interview.

Semenyo had to pull out of Ghana’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers due to an injury to his patella tendon caused by an overload of games.

He has scored four goals in 12 Premier League games this season for Bournemouth, and he also won the club’s Goal and Player of the Month awards in October.
