Black Stars forward, Antoine Semenyo produced a man of the match performance for AF Bournemouth to mark his return from the international break.

The Ghanaian forward produced an assist and scored to help the Cherries beat Brighton and Hove Albion 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Vitality Stadium.

Semenyo assisted Alex Scott in the 18th minute but Brighton got the equalizer through Kaoru Mitoma in the 48th minute.

Bournemouth was awarded a penalty eleven minutes after Mitoma’s equalizer and Semenyo calmly converted the kick to restore his team’s lead in the game.

Substitute Baleba’s effort high over the bar was as close as Brighton came to rescuing a point they would not have deserved.

The Cherries are now 4th on the Premier League table with 9 points after 4 games and will travel to the Saint James Park to face Newcastle’s United on matchday 5.
