Another poll, this time by Sanity Africa, has projected victory for Bernard B. Baidoo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate in the Akwatia parliamentary by-election scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

The survey, conducted between August 1 and August 27, 2025, shows Baidoo leading with 52.3% support among likely voters.

His closest contender, Solomon Asumadu of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), polled 47.7%, just 4.6 percentage points behind Baidoo, with less than three days to the election, Citi Newsroom reports.

Latest poll puts NDC’s Baidoo in ‘comfortable lead’ in Akwatia by-election

According to Global InfoAnalytics, 53% of voters in the constituency indicated they would back Baidoo, while 47% said they would vote for Asumadu.

That survey gave the NDC candidate a six-point lead heading into the September 2 by-election.
