Ghanaian defender, Andy Yiadom, has committed to Reading FC for another year, signing a contract extension that will keep him at the club until summer 2026.

Since joining Reading in 2018, club captain Andy Yiadom, has made over 200 appearances.

After overcoming injuries that marred the 2024/25 season, Yiadom is now fully fit and ready to kick-start pre-season preparations.

Reading’s Chairman, Rob Couhig, commended Yiadom’s professionalism during his rehab, saying; “The past year’s rehab was tough, but Andy showed great commitment, supported the team, and stayed focused. He’s ready to go, and we’re excited to have him lead the charge next season.”

The first-team manager Noel Hunt added, “Yiadom is a massive presence for us. Despite a tough season, he has come back strong and looks sharp as we head into pre-season.”
