Andy Carroll’s Fame Academy sex abuser Kevin Adams has been branded a ‘monster’ by his own daughter.
Adams, now 59, was sentenced to 20 months in prison in 2023 for sexually abusing the ex-Premier League striker while he was sleeping naked.
Mr Carroll, 37, revealed last week that Adams, a dance coach on the BBC show, had assaulted him – and said it has had a ‘devastating impact on my life and loved ones’.
He revealed Adams’s identity after disclosing the 2021 assault in his autobiography, Owning It: My Untold Story.
In the book, which did not name the attacker, he told how he had woken up after having a ‘few drinks’ to find a man attempting to give him oral sex.
Mr Carroll then threw him out of his house and knocked him unconscious when he tried to return.
Now his daughter Avia, 21, has spoken out about the incident and revealed her father did not even tell her he had been imprisoned.
She told The Sun: ‘I feel really bad for [Mr Carroll]. I just think my dad is a monster.’

Asked if the footballer had been brave to talk, she said: ‘100 per cent.’
Avia added: ‘As far as naming him — he’s done something terrible to you so name him. If I was in that position I’d do the same.’
She also said that Adams had kept his real age secret from his family until a fortnight ago, previously claiming he was in his 40s.
Avia, who grew up in Essex where her family brushed shoulders with famous faces, now plans to change her surname to fully cut ties with her father.
Adams and Avia’s mother got married in September 2005, six months after Avia was born. They split in 2011.
At his trial in 2023, judge Mary Loram told Adams: ‘You spun a literally incredible tale in which you painted yourself as the victim. You’ve actually started to believe your own lies.’
She added: ‘In your narrative, you were the put-upon reluctant friend doing no more than helping out.
‘The end of your unbelievable tale was that you were the victim of the most serious sexual assaults yourself.’
Court documents reportedly say the assault took place in 2019 although the ex-England striker said in his book it happened in 2021.
Before he was sentenced, Adams had run a children’s dance school, the Kevin Adams Academy, in Harlow, Essex. Records show that the company ceased operations in 2022.
The sex offender was best known for his role on the BBC talent show Fame Academy, which ran between 2002 and 2003 and was hosted by Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty. He also appeared as a TV presenter for GMTV and Sky.
Adams was friends with Mr Carroll’s former partner Billi Mucklow and was filmed running a fitness class attended by the footballer in 2014.
He was at Mr Carroll’s house to watch a boxing match before he assaulted him.
Mr Carroll – who now plays for National League South club Dagenham & Redbridge and serves as assistant manager – shared in his new book, Owning It, that he experienced the ‘traumatic’ assault.
He said after the attack he called the police and was ‘sobbing’ in the arms of his children’s nanny.
Adams was later found guilty of sexual offences and placed on the sex offender register. He was also banned from entering the village where Mr Carroll lived.

Mr Carroll testified in court, a process he says was ‘humiliating and embarrassing and absolutely horrendous’.
He said it has affected ‘every facet of my life’, writing: ‘I’d think about it every day, making it difficult to focus on anything else, including football… The trauma of what happened to me hasn’t gone away.’
He wrote in his new book, which was released last month: ‘Other things I’d quite like to forget but can’t, something happened to me a few years ago that was so traumatic I only decided to include it in this book at the very last minute.
‘I was sexually assaulted, there I said it. Scary to even think about and only a few people knew about it before now.’
