Onana tutoring some young female goalkeepers

Andre Onana has been spotted giving back to his roots in Cameroon, taking time during his offseason break to mentor young female goalkeepers in a heartwarming display of grassroots support.

Days after being seen playing street football and dining casually at a local joint with fellow villagers, the Manchester United goalkeeper was captured in a new video, this time offering hands-on coaching to aspiring female shot-stoppers.

In a Facebook post that has since gained traction among Cameroonian football fans, Onana was seen tutoring a group of young female goalkeepers, demonstrating diving techniques and gesturing patiently as he passed on the basics of the trade.

At one point, the former Inter Milan man even stepped into goal himself, making casual saves to illustrate proper positioning and handling.

It’s a rare but refreshing sight, given the turbulent season Onana has just endured at Manchester United.

The 29-year-old was at the heart of a campaign to forget, as the Red Devils stumbled to a 15th-place finish in the Premier League, their worst in decades, and failed to qualify for any European competition.

Their last hope, a Europa League final clash against Tottenham Hotspur, ended in heartbreak with a defeat that sealed a trophyless season.

Onana, who joined United in a high-profile move, was frequently under fire for high-profile errors that contributed to the team’s collapse.

Reports in England suggest the club is already considering replacements, with at least two potential new goalkeepers being monitored closely.
