In a strong push to revitalize agriculture and create sustainable employment in Amenfi Central, the Member of Parliament, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has led a successful land identification mission aimed at establishing large-scale vegetable and rice farms in the district. She was joined by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Peter Amponsah, as well as key constituency and branch executives, in a collaborative effort that promises to transform the local economy.

The team’s tour resulted in the identification of approximately 10 acres of fertile land, deemed highly suitable for vegetable and rice cultivation. This marks a significant step toward the realization of Hon. Gyan Cudjoe’s vision of turning Amenfi Central into a thriving agricultural hub.

As a member of the Agriculture Committee in Parliament, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe is leveraging her influence and expertise to bring development directly to her constituents. Her initiative not only aims to increase the availability of fresh, locally grown food but also to address unemployment by creating opportunities in farming and agro-processing, particularly for the youth.

“This is more than just a farming project—it is a pathway to economic empowerment,” Hon. Gyan Cudjoe stated. “We are committed to ensuring that the people of Amenfi Central benefit from the vast agricultural potential of our land.”

The collaborative nature of the initiative, involving both political leadership and local party structures, highlights a unified approach to development. With the groundwork laid and suitable land secured, the next phase will focus on mobilizing resources, engaging technical experts, and launching the farming activities.

This bold step sets the tone for future agricultural projects in the district, reaffirming the MP’s dedication to sustainable development, food security, and improved livelihoods for her constituents.
