Legendary footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo took over the trends on social media after scoring three goals during Al Nassr’s 4-0 win over Rio Ave in a preseason game on August 7, 2025.
The player started with high intensity, making runs which led to the first goal, which he scored with his foot in the early minutes of the game.
The Portuguese national team captain continued his impressive form by scoring again with his right foot and finished off with a powerful header to seal an emphatic victory for his side.
Al Nassr’s new signing, João Felix, was also instrumental in the game as he created chances upfront and assisted Ronaldo’s second goal.
The heroics have reignited another debate from football followers who were enthused by his excellent performances at the age of 40.
Some avid fans asserted that Ronaldo’s ability to maintain his performance despite his age validates his status as the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) when it comes to football history.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo will be looking forward to winning a major trophy with Al Nassr in the 2025/2026 season after struggling to do so in previous seasons due to the dominance of Al Hilal.
