Ghana captain Andre Ayew has shared his excitement after netting his third goal of the season for Le Havre in a stalemate against Angers on Sunday, February 1, 2025.

The Black Stars captain made a substitute appearance as his outfit settled for a 1-1 draw at Angers in the French Ligue 1 clash.

Ayew was introduced at the 70th-minute mark, replacing Egyptian international Ahmed Hassan Koka.

The visitors came close to snatching their first win of the year after Ayew broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute.

However, a 90th-minute goal from Florent Hanin salvaged a point for the hosts at the Stade Raymond Kopa.

“Always moving forward, never giving up” wrote Andre Ayew.

The former Marseille star has racked up three goals from 13 appearances, with his immense performance overshadowing Le Havre’s struggles in the Ligue 1.

Ayew, who joined the club in October last year after five months without a team, has been a standout performer for the side.

Meanwhile, Ayew is said to be nearing a return to the Black Stars ahead of the resumption of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers due to his swashbuckling performance for Le Havre.
