The Supporters Union of Swedru All Blacks has appealed to the Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, to provide financial support to the club.

They indicated that playing in the Premier League requires significant funding and that they will need sponsorship from prominent individuals.

Speaking in an interview with GhanaWeb Sports, the Vice Chairman of the All Blacks Supporters Union, Samuel Poku, appealed to political figures in the Central Region to cushion them with monetary assistance.

“We wish to get support from corporate companies around us when it comes to our finances. We’ve qualified for the Premier League. It’s a regional thing because there’s no Central Region team in this league. At least some have already come on board. We’ve been talking to the MP for Effutu, the Agona West MP, and other MPs are also coming on board.

Even the regional minister was present at our last match. So we know our matches will be great when it comes to the Premier League. Imagine Kotoko, Bibiani Gold Stars, and Samartex coming here; everybody will bring a lot to Agona West and the Central Region. So we are expecting everybody to come on board,” he said.

The Public Relations Officer of the Supporters Union, Eddie Blay, commended the club for allowing women to attend matches at the stadium for free.

“Swedru All Blacks has made it a point that when you come to Swedru Sports Stadium, ladies enter for free. The organisers are also doing well. The All Blacks Ladies are doing well, too. So when you come to the stadium, you see a lot of ladies, and I’m happy. I’m just telling management that we should maintain this policy so that more women will come and support the team,” he added.
