Ghanaian international Alexander Djiku put in a standout performance for Fenerbahce on November 28, 2024, helping his team secure a 2-1 comeback victory over Slavia Prague in the Europa League.

The Black Stars centre-back was named to the starting lineup and played a crucial role in the heart of Fenerbahce’s defence.

Djiku impressed throughout the match, earning the highest rating (7.3) among all defenders from both teams.

His commanding presence at the back was a key factor in Fenerbahce’s ability to recover after a shaky start.

Slavia Prague took the lead early in the match, with Tomas Chory scoring just seven minutes into the game. However, Fenerbahce responded in the second half, with goals from Edin Dzeko and Youssef En Nesyri securing a hard-fought 2-1 win for the Turkish side.

The victory propelled Fenerbahce to 15th place in the Europa League standings, keeping their hopes alive for qualification to the next phase of the competition.
