Dutch giants Ajax are set to gain financially from Mohammed Kudus’ move to Tottenham Hotspurs.
The 24-year-old signed a six-year deal to join the 2024/25 Europa League winners from West Ham United for a fee of €64m.
Kudus joined the Hammers from Ajax for €43m and according to reports, there were an agreement for a percentage of his future move to the former Dutch champions. Ajax are expected to earn between €2.4m and €3.6m from the resale.
Meanwhile, the club will also receive a solidarity contribution of approximately €1m, which will all sum up to close to €5m.
The Black Stars midfielder’s move ends speculation over his future after several clubs including Liverpool and Chelsea were reported to be interested in his signature.
The former Ajax midfielder enjoyed a decent spell at West Ham, scoring 19 goals in 80 matches across all competitions for the Hammers.
Kudus will join his new teammates this week for pre-season under the leadership of coach Thomas Frank.
His first competitive assignment will be in the UEFA Super League game against European champions Paris Saint Germain.
