Former Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has lavished praise on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for their efforts in securing the Black Stars’ back-to-back wins.

The senior national team, in the Matchday 5 and 6 games of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, recorded a 5-0 win against Chad followed by a 3-0 victory against Madagascar.

These victories have positioned Ghana at the top of Group I with 15 points after six matches played.

Reflecting on the wins, Agyemang-Badu, who played at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and the 2015 AFCON final in Equatorial Guinea, applauded the leadership of the GFA for their decision-making, efforts, and plans made before the games.

“I think the Ghana Football Association (GFA) must also be commended for some of their decisions to bring Stephen Appiah and Asamoah Gyan closer to the team,” Agyemang-Badu told Happy FM.

“Winning these two games was important, and the players must be praised, but the GFA must be praised for their efforts and the plans which were laid for the games,” he added.

Ghana will aim to seal their qualification for the Mundial, which will be hosted in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, when they take on Chad and Mali in the Matchday 7 and 8 games of the qualifiers in September.
