Veteran Ghanaian actor and staunch New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporter, Agya Koo, has reacted to the outcome of Ghana’s just-ended general elections.

Yesterday, 48 hours after the polls, the Electoral Commission officially declared John Dramani Mahama, leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), president-elect.

Before the declaration, Mahama had claimed victory after Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, conceded defeat just 16 hours after voting.

In response to the announcement, Agya Koo took to social media to share his reflections and accompanied his post with an image of himself holding the Ghanaian flag.

“We thank God for a peaceful and successful election in our beloved Ghana. May His divine guidance lead our nation to greater heights. Let’s keep Ghana in our prayers!” the actor wrote.
