In a recent interview on Lawson Radio in Kumasi, actor Kofi Adu, better known by his stage name Agya Koo, addressed speculation around a purported rivalry with fellow actor Kwadwo Nkansah, generally known as Lilwin. Agya Koo emphasized that they have a positive connection and stated that there is no problem between them. He did point out, though, that individuals have a natural tendency to fabricate drama when none exists.

Agya Koo used previous speculations about other Ghanaian celebrities to highlight his argument. He compared it to the claims that Daddy Lumba and Nana Acheampong were at odds or that Anthony Yeboah and Abedi Pele were at odds. When Lilwin was first unveiled as a comic with star potential, Agya Koo remembered being on set. We were trying to outperform Nigerian actors, so I urged them to bring him in. He clarified, “It was only right to support someone who had talent.”

He reiterated at the end that, contrary to what some people might think, there is no conflict between them. “I always respond warmly when Lilwin greets me,” Agya Koo stated, rejecting the rumors as wholly baseless.
