Former Hearts of Oak forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh was on target for FC Aarau in their emphatic 5-3 win over Rapperswil-Jona in round 24 of the Swiss Challenge League.

The former Black Satellites captain was introduced in the 74th minute, coming on to replace Elias Filet as Aarau pushed to close out the game.

Barnieh, later sealed the victory with a well-taken finish, adding the fifth goal for his side in an entertaining eight-goal thriller.

His compatriot David Acquah also featured for the victors and enjoyed full throttle of the game.

The 24-year-old now has 8 goals and 5 assists in 23 matches this season, underlining his growing influence at the club.

FC Aarau sit second on the league table with 53 points and will face Etoile Carouge in their next fixture.
