The Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has called on the rank and file of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to remain steadfast and support the party as voting continues in the Akwatia by-election.

Speaking to the media, he confidently stated that because of the work the party had done in the constituency, he was hopeful of victory.

He noted that since he joined the party secretary at the AKwatia constituency, the political atmosphere had been peaceful.

However, he noted that he was courageous and that threats would not undermine him.

In regard to the 2028 elections, he remarked that with strong unity, the party would achieve victory.
