Bail has been secured for self-styled doomsday prophet Ebo Noah after the Adenta Circuit Court agreed to release him under tightly defined conditions, as scrutiny over his failed prophecy continues.

The court fixed bail at GH¢100,000 and directed the accused to produce two sureties. One of the guarantors must be supported by verifiable security, either a landed property or a vehicle. Proceedings were adjourned to March 18, 2026, to allow the case to advance.

The ruling was welcomed by the defence, which described it as a measured decision grounded in law. Speaking to reporters following the hearing, Emmanuel Sarfo, lawyer for the accused, praised the court’s approach.

“Thankfully, the court has exercised its discretion because discretion must always be fair, reasonable and just. So, it exercised it well pursuant to our laws and admitted our accused to bail with any property, with a landed property or a vehicle, in the amount of GHS100,000, and that is all,” he stated.

The court also issued a caution, making it clear that the bail remains conditional. Any failure to meet the stated requirements could result in the immediate cancellation of the bail.

Both the prosecution and the defence are expected back in court on March 18, 2026, with additional time granted to prepare for the next stage of the proceedings.

Ebo Noah, born Evans Eshun, was arrested on December 31, 2025, by the Special Cyber Vetting Team of the Ghana Police Service after his claims sparked widespread public concern.

He had earlier announced that God had revealed to him a catastrophic flood that would end the world on December 25, 2025. The claims drew further attention when he built what he called an “ark” on his premises, which he said would protect humanity from the impending disaster.

After the predicted event failed to occur, Noah reportedly revised his account, asserting that his prayers had succeeded in postponing the destruction.
