ADAMA West Africa has been honoured as the Agricultural Input Company of the Year (Crop Protection Solutions) at the 2025 Africa Best Business Awards held in Accra on Friday, November 7, 2025.

The award recognises ADAMA’s outstanding contribution to crop protection and its commitment to delivering high-quality pesticides that help farmers safeguard their yields and improve productivity.

The business award also celebrates the achievements of businesses driving innovation, economic growth, and excellence across Africa.

ADAMA West Africa, a subsidiary of global agricultural giant ADAMA, has operated in Ghana for over 15 years.

The company specialises in the development and distribution of crop protection products, including insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides for cocoa, grains, and other staple crops.

ADAMA’s legacy dates back to the founding of two Israeli companies, Agan in 1945 and Makhteshim in 1952, which merged in 1997 to form Makhteshim Agan.

In 2014, the company rebranded globally as ADAMA and is now part of the Syngenta Group, the world’s largest agricultural inputs company.

With over 9,000 employees worldwide and a presence in more than 100 countries, ADAMA combines global expertise with local insights.

The company is also listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and continues to invest in research, farmer education, and sustainable agriculture.
