Adam Larsen Kwarasey, the former Black Stars goalkeeper, has steadily built a multifaceted football and business presence in Norway since hanging up his gloves, blending his rich international experience with entrepreneurial ambition.

Born in Oslo to a Ghanaian father and Norwegian mother, Kwarasey chose to represent Ghana at the international level and went on to earn 24 caps for the Black Stars between 2011 and 2016.

He was Ghana’s first-choice goalkeeper at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations and started the team’s opening match at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil against the United States.

After a successful playing career that saw him feature for clubs across Europe and the United States, including Strømsgodset, Portland Timbers, Rosenborg and Brøndby, Kwarasey transitioned into roles that combine sport management and community development.

He is now a co-founder and sporting director of FC Oslo, a club based in Norway, where he helps shape the team’s strategic direction and growth.

In addition, Kwarasey serves as International Relations Manager for the Kenpong Football Academy, working to build bridges between Ghanaian football talent and opportunities abroad.

Off the pitch, Kwarasey has invested in his local community through business ventures, including a restaurant and fitness centre that showcase Ghanaian culture in Norway.
