    Actress Yvonne Jegede has joined the growing number of voices calling for justice in the ongoing controversy surrounding Regina Daniels and her family. She publicly demanded the release of Regina’s brother, Sammy Ojeagwu.

    In a post shared via her Instagram story, Yvonne condemned what she described as an ‘ongoing injustice,’ urging Nigerians not to remain silent in the face of alleged abuse of power.

    “Evil thrives when good people are silent. We will not sit and watch the ongoing injustice because a young girl decided to exit a union, sir, your current actions are proving the young girl right. This is a fight for the girl child and for our democracy as Nigerians.” She wrote

    She ended her message with the hashtag Free Samuel Ojeagwu, showing solidarity with Regina Daniels, who has reportedly been estranged from her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

    Recall that Regina’s elder brother, Sweezy, alleged that Senator Ned Nwoko ordered the arrest of Sammy Ojeagwu in a bid to pressure Regina into returning to their matrimonial home.

    After she had alleged left the marriage over issues of domestic violence, an allegation that the senator had denied.

    Below are some of the comments;

    “This is heartbreaking. If these allegations are true, then it’s a serious abuse of power. No woman deserves to be threatened or coerced into returning to a toxic marriage. #FreeSammy”

    “Yvonne is so brave for speaking up. Too many celebrities keep quiet when things like this happen.”

    “Social media isn’t a court. Every day, new accusations fly around. If Regina left, that’s her choice, but let’s not turn everything into a public spectacle.”
