    Kumawood actress and movie producer Patricia Osei Boateng has been remanded by a Kumasi High Court.

    According to reports gathered by GhanaWeb on March 2, 2026, the court has ordered the actress to remain in custody for two weeks pending further investigations.

    Patricia Osei Boateng, who is the wife of Eric Duku, a suspected armed robbery gang leader, has been linked to the operation that allegedly robbed and killed Andrew Amankwa.

    She is facing charges relating to her alleged involvement in the robbery and for allegedly aiding the suspects to evade arrest.

    Amankwa was the father-in-law of the CEO of the Ghana Gold Board (GOLDBOD), Sammy Gyamfi. Following the arrest of four suspects in the case, investigations reportedly led to the actress.

    Recently, the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, on Monday, February 23, 2026, confirmed the arrest of four suspects in connection with the robbery and murder of Andrew Amankwa, who was shot during the incident at Ohwim Tigo Junction in Kumasi.

    The IGP explained that immediately after the case was reported, he constituted a special team comprising the Ashanti Regional Commander, the Regional Intelligence Team, the Anti-Robbery Unit, and the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team of the CID Headquarters to begin investigations.

    The first police operation took place on February 18, 2026, leading to the arrest of Akwesi Manu, who was found in possession of the deceased’s Samsung mobile phone.
