The Ghanaian entertainment industry is mourning the loss of popular actress Mercy Little Smith, widely known by her stage name Benyiwaa, from the beloved TV series “Efiewura.”
Her death was announced on the official Facebook page of the “Efiewura” TV series on December 18, 2024.
The announcement read, “RIP Benyiwaa. She left the earth plane yesterday. Bye.”
The cause of her death has not yet been disclosed.
Mercy Little Smith was celebrated for her role in “Efiewura,” where she played the role of Benyiwa, the fat woman with the famous “buttocks” and wife of Lawyer Kabou from the “Apoto ayowa” Chambers.
Her passing has led to an outpouring of condolences from fans, colleagues, and the general public, who have taken to social media to express their grief and pay tribute to the actress.
