After several reports online of an active shooter at the Opry Mills Mall in Nashville, Tennessee, Metro Nashville Police Department said there was ‘no evidence of any gunfire.’

Witnesses say they heard gunshots and saw large crowds running out of the building as police and first responders rushed to the scene, radio host Todd Coconato said.

However, MNPD confirmed the chaos was linked to a fight inside the popular mall, causing a rushed mass exodus of the building.

MNPD and Nashville Fire remain on the scene investigating. There are no reports of injuries at this time.

    This story is developing.
