Morocco and Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi was crowned Best African International Player at the Ghana Football Awards ceremony, held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.

The 26-year-old fullback received the prestigious honor after a historic treble-winning campaign with PSG, where his outstanding contributions helped secure the Ligue 1 title, the Coupe de France, and the club’s inaugural UEFA Champions League trophy.

Organizers recognized Hakimi’s exceptional performances, which saw him emerge as one of world football’s most complete defenders this season.

The Moroccan international beat several top African stars to claim the award, which celebrates African excellence in international football.

The award adds to Hakimi’s growing collection of individual accolades and caps a remarkable year that saw him lift three major trophies while establishing himself as one of global football’s elite fullbacks.
