Hearts of Oak legend, Mohammed Polo has called for the dismissal of head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, describing him as not the right manager for the club.

Polo’s remarks follow after the Phobians’ poor start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season where they have won just two games and have recorded three draws and three defeats which leave the club at the 12 spot with 9 points.

Hearts of Oak’s latest upset came after losing 1-0 at home against Bibiani GoldStars in the Matchday 8 games at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Speaking to Citi Sports, Polo, a former gaffer of the club believes the Ivorian is not the right manager for the club and has called for his dismissal.

“I think, you know, there is a problem in the technical direction and it’s all about Ghana in the technical direction. That is the talent we have here in the country,” he said. “The coaches need to add some value, which is not there.

“It is what the coaches, what the players know. It’s what they are doing. There is no additional value because I said it already.

“The last time, Accra Hearts of Oak, that’s last year or season, you remember they nearly, went to the relegation.

“That’s not the club’s standards, Ouattara is not the right man to lead the club and so I agree with fans calling for his sack,” he said.

Hearts of Oak will be hosted by Medeama SC in the Matchday 9 games at the TNA Park this weekend.
