Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has opened up on the future of her career in the film industry after actively entering politics.

In an interview on TV3, monitored by GhanaWeb on September 11, 2025, Dzifa Gomashie, who also doubles as an actress, was asked if she would consider returning to the screen and she expressed uncertainty.

Dzifa Gomashie explained that she enjoys watching the new faces in the movie industry; hence, the possibility of giving the younger generation the chance to exhibit their passion is her ultimate joy.

“I am not sure about that. I am happy to watch all of you do what you do,” she said.

Abla Dzifa Gomashie also disclosed in the interview that she became an actress as a means to earn an income and not for the passion of the job.

Recounting her journey in the creative space, Dzifa Gomashie noted that she needed money to rewrite an exam, hence forcing her decision to become an actress.

“Unlike other people, I didn’t choose to be an actress. I only happened to have come into this space because I needed to make decent money so I could rewrite my O-level,” she added.
