    The Police Command at the Ogun State has confirmed the death of a motorcycle thief, John Udoh, has been confirmed by the Ogun State police command in the early hours of Friday in Atoyo Okeigbo community, Aruba Sagamu, while his partner, Peter Ubong, was seriously injured.

    Udoh and Ubong, members of a gang of five men, are said to have invaded the community at about 2 am and attacked one Emeka Ruben, stealing his motorcycle worth N1.2 million.

    This was disclosed by the command’s spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, in a statement on Friday.

    Odutola said Ruben, however, warned youths in the community who took up the challenge at midnight and arrested Udoh and Ubong.

    The two suspects were said to have been severely beaten, which led to the death of one of the robbers, as confirmed by a doctor at the Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital in Sagamu, while the second suspect, Ubong, who would be in critical condition, was hospitalized. .

    Three other members of the gang, Adaka, Stephen and Jeresy, allegedly fled on the stolen motorbike.
