DJ Lord is a popular Ghanaian disc jockey

2023 and 2024 Disc Jockey of the Year, DJ Lord, has stated that many of the challenges Shatta Wale is currently facing were already mentioned in his old songs, a revelation that has made him question whether the Dancehall artiste has ‘superpowers.’

He described this as an ‘eye-opening’ discovery, indicating that the musician’s lyrics sometimes feel prophetic.

DJ Lord also mentioned that Shatta Wale’s lyrical foresight helps to explain why the artiste commands such a loyal fan base.

He admitted that while the artiste may not be perfect, his ability to transform pain into strength are qualities that inspire many.

“Just sitting here, deep in my thoughts, trying to figure out how #ShattaWale keeps surviving every storm that comes his way. Seriously, how does he do it? Is he just acting like he’s okay? Is he really THAT mentally strong? Sometimes I wonder if the man has superpowers. All these questions got me diving into his music last night, really listening to what he says in his songs.

“And you know what? I noticed something eye-opening. A lot of what’s happening to him right now, he actually mentioned in some of his older tracks. Got me wondering… is he a prophet? Does he have his whole life mapped out in lyrics?” he questioned.

Reacting to Shatta Wale’s tenacity and ability to survive controversies and setbacks, including his current legal troubles with the EOCO over a Lamborghini, DJ Lord said,

“It all makes sense now why he has such devoted followers. The man might not be perfect, nobody is, but you’ve got to admire his depth, his foresight, and how he turns his struggles into strength. Right now, my heart just goes out to him with all this #EOCO energy around the Lambo issue. I really pray it gets resolved quickly and fairly so he can get back to doing what he does best.”
