Education is the heartbeat of every nation, and this November, Ghana will witness a historic celebration of its champions as the Ghana Educators Prestige Awards (GEPA) makes its maiden appearance at the CLOGSAG Auditorium, Ministries, Accra (Valco Drive, near the National Theatre).
The scheme seeks to recognize and reward teachers, student-teachers, non-teaching staff, institutions, brands, and stakeholders whose tireless contributions keep Ghana’s educational system alive and thriving. For the first time, educators will enjoy a national red-carpet moment, covered by TV stations, radio, blogs, and professional photographers — positioning them as the true nation-builders they are.
Organized by Mustard Creations in consultation with Steflix Media Network, with over five years of consistent experience in hosting high-profile awards for political elites, royalties, corporate leaders, and celebrities in Ghana and beyond, the event guarantees professionalism, transparency, and class. Oversight is further provided by an Executive Council and Advisory Board, made up of distinguished educationists and corporate leaders.
The Awards align with the objectives of the Ghana Commission for UNESCO and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals). They are also supported by a powerful media coalition including GhanaWeb (Ghana’s No.1 news portal), Vimbuzz, GHOne, JoyPrime, GBC News, Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, KFMTV, AIT TV, among others — a strong partnership that demonstrates broad national acceptance and trust.
Nominees not only receive plaques and citations endorsed by our credible Executive Council, but also add these recognitions to their CVs and portfolios, creating opportunities for future endorsements, exposure, and professional growth. Beyond awards, the night promises networking with policymakers, development partners, and corporate executives — making GEPA not just an event, but a movement in education.
Speaking to AIT TV and KFMTV during an interview, PR Lead and Project Manager, Mr. Derrick Kwame Adjei (popularly known as Mr. Dee The MC) — a multi-award-winning Master of Ceremonies with years of experience in corporate events and prestigious award ceremonies — noted:
“Education is the foundation of every nation. For too long, educators have been the unsung heroes. This platform gives them the honor, spotlight, and celebration they deserve.”
