A lady on Facebook flips the societal expectations table on married and unmarried men and the respect they receive relating to their marital status.

Amy George denounced the common belief that women are more desperate and are in need of marriage to be accorded respect in society.

According to her, men are at risk of losing their esteem if they fail to settle down on time. She opined that men need marriage more than women.

Amy went further by revealing the level of respect an older unmarried man gets from that of a younger married man.

Her Facebook post which captioned “Marriage is a man’s complete crown. Men need marriage to be heard, respected and to show they are responsible. A 40yrs married man is respected than a 50yrs unmarried man. A man without a wife is a mmaaaad man within his peers.” has received several reactions online.

    Read some of them:

Ada Nneka Igwe-Emeka: Make I add, even at old age, they need wife and children to care for them, make desperation no kpai them, They need marriage children who will inherit their properties, Men need marriage more than women cuz with women and their children, they are fine.
