Nigerian actress Nkechi Blessing broke down in tears as she recounted how she was body-shamed after an unflattering photo of her at the gym surfaced online.

Speaking on the Honest Bunch podcast, the actress revealed that she had the lady who secretly took the picture without her consent arrested.

The viral gym photo, which made the rounds on social media, sparked mixed reactions from internet users.

Nkechi, visibly emotional during the interview, said the image was taken without her permission, despite her long-standing confidence in her natural body as a mother of a six-year-old.

She criticised women who undergo cosmetic surgery yet mock those who maintain their natural bodies, describing the behaviour as hypocritical and hurtful.

According to her, she went out of her way to track down the lady responsible for taking the photo and ensured she was apprehended.

Nkechi also accused the management of the gym of initially refusing to release information that could have helped identify the culprit, a move she found disappointing.

“This is my body, this is how I’ve always been. I have a 6-year-old son. You get BBL, you dey snap me wey get natural body, are you stupid? I found her and got her arrested… na because I no come online?” She said

Her revelation has reignited conversations about body shaming, consent, and privacy in public spaces, with many Nigerians expressing support for her stance.
