    Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim has described Everton midfielder, Idrissa Gana Gueye’s red card as unfair.

    Idrissa Gana Gueye was sent off by referee Tony Harrington for violent conduct in the game at Old Trafford after his clash with teammate Michael Keane.

    Speaking after the game, Ruben Amorim who is not against teammates fighting each other on the pitch said he doesn’t agree with the decision of referee Tony Harrington to send Gueye off for violent conduct.

    “Fighting is not a bad thing, I don’t agree with that sending off. We CAN fight with a team-mate.”

    “I know it’s violent conduct but I don’t agree with that. I hope if my players lose the ball they fight each other,” Ruben Amorim said at his post match conference on Monday, November 24, 2025.

    Meanwhile, Everton won the game 1-0 to move to the 11th position on the Premier League table.

    Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s goal in the 29th minute was enough to secure Everton’s second away victory of the season.
