The Chairman for the Committee tasked to oversee arrangements for the Final Funeral Rites of the late music icon Charles Kwadwo Fosu, Daddy Lumba Baffour Kofi Atobra II, has reiterated that the date for the funeral remains unchanged.

According to the Chief of Dadiesoaba, the funeral will be held on December 13th as planned by the family and the Manhyia Palace.

This comes after one of the family members, Evangelist Papa Shee, publicly announced a change in the date for the final funeral rites.

Papa Shee was captured in a video announcing a new date for the funeral, saying it was going to be held in March 2026.

However, Dadiesobahene, in a press conference on Sunday, November 23, 2025, said the date remains intact, calling out Papa Shee for disrespecting the Committee.

“The date was agreed on by Family in consultation with the Manhyia Palace and so if there was any changes, you have no authority to announce it without informing Manhyia first,” he said.

“Besides, the Committee is not aware of any changes in the date, so how can you disrespect the committee and announce a new date on their blank side?”

He called on the public to disregard the new date, adding that all formal communication will come from the committee.
