Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has said that he has no problem with legendary footballer Wayne Rooney rating Antoine Semenyo ahead of Erling Haaland.
Rooney named Bournemouth striker, Antoine Semenyo, Manchester United’s Bryan Mbeumo, and Arsenal striker Viktor Gyökeres as his top three players in the 2025/26 Premier League so far.
Speaking to Amazon Prime Sport, Rooney snubbed Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, noting that he has been impressed by Semenyo’s consistency at AFC Bournemouth since last season.

Speaking at his pre-match conference ahead of the game against Newcastle United downplayed the comparison between Antoine Semenyo and Erling Haaland.
A journalist asked: “Rooney picked his top three Premier League players so far: Semenyo, Mbeumo, and Gyökeres. No Erling Haaland… do you think he is right?”
Guardiola responded: “He’s absolutely right. Wayne decides, fine. There is no problem.”
Meanwhile, Haaland is in blistering form, having scored 14 goals and provided one assist in 11 matches, with many pundits rating him among the best strikers in Europe.
Semenyo on the other hand has scored six goals and provided three assists in 11 appearances.
