Betway, an online sports betting outfit, has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to promoting safe, informed and mindful gaming across Africa, through the Responsible Gambling Month activities ongoing this November.

Under the banner of its campaign “Bet the Responsible Way,” Betway has called on all players to take a moment to reflect on their gaming habits and embrace a healthier, more balanced approach to betting.

Consequently, in a region where sports betting continues to grow rapidly, Betway is leading the charge in ensuring that entertainment never comes at the cost of well-being. Hence, this November, the brand is amplifying four key messages that lie at the heart of responsible gambling.

That include, “Never Chase Your Losses” where betting should be fun, not a way to recover money as chasing losses may often lead to deeper financial and emotional strain.

The outfit is also advocating for player to take a break-step away, recharge and return with a clear mind as it would help maintain perspective and control.

Betway has also called on players to have a game plan where they would set limits on time and money before placing bets and know when to stop and stick to the plan.

Most importantly, the outfit is urging all to stay in control as gambling is a form of entertainment, not a solution to life’s challenges. Hence the need to ensure players stay in control of choices and spending.

“Responsible gambling is not just a message, it is a movement,” said Kwabena Oppong Nkrumah, Country Manager (Marketing) at Betway in Ghana.

“We believe that by empowering our players with the right tools and knowledge; we can create a safer, more sustainable betting environment for everyone,” he stated.

He explained that, hroughout November, Betway will roll out a series of educational initiatives, social media campaigns and community outreach programs across its African markets. These efforts he said, were designed to raise awareness, provide support resources and encourage open conversations around gambling behaviour.

“As part of its ongoing commitment, Betway also offers a suite of responsible gambling tools on its platform, including deposit limits, self-exclusion options and access to professional help services,” he stressed.

This Responsible Gambling Month, he said, Betway invites all players to pause, reflect and Bet the Responsible Way.
