    The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams has said that the Black Stars are fully prepared for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.

    Ghana lost 2-0 to Japan on Friday, November 14, before the 1-0 defeat to South Korea on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

    Despite the team’s performance in the Kirin Challenge Cup, the minister has affirmed his believe in the Black Stars to perform well at the Mundial in 2026.

    “We went there [to previous World Cups] to learn so we have learnt something and we are more than prepared for next year’s Mundial and we will come back with something great.”

    Meanwhile, the Black Stars have been placed in Pot 4 ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage draw scheduled for December 5, 2025, at Washington, United States.

    Pot 1: Mexico (Group A), Canada (Group B), United States (Group D), Germany, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Spain, France, England, Netherlands, Portugal

    Pot 2: Croatia, Morocco, Colombia, Uruguay, Switzerland, Senegal, Japan, Iran, South Korea, Ecuador, Austria, Australia

    Pot 3: Norway, Panama, Egypt, Algeria, Scotland, Paraguay, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa

    Pot 4: Jordan, Cape Verde, Ghana, Curaçao, New Zealand, Haiti, UEFA Play-off #1, UEFA Play-off #2, UEFA Play-off #3, UEFA Play-off #4, Intercontinental Play-off #1, Intercontinental Play-off #2
