Aaron Judge felt the wrath of New York fans after flailing through the opening two games of the World Series.
The Yankees captain sunk further into a postseason slump in the Yankees’ 4-2 Game 2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday night.
The Yankees superstar slugger has failed to step up to the plate, going one for nine with six strikeouts in his first two World Series games at Dodger Stadium, dragging down the flailing New York offense with him.
The 6-foot-7 star was 0 for 4 with three strikeouts in Game 2 on Saturday night, struggling to even make contact against an in-form Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
Dodgers reliever Blake Treinen fanned him with Juan Soto on second base for the first out of the ninth inning as the Yankees attempted to rally to a comeback.
Aaron Judge has felt the fury of New York fans after flailing in the World Series so far
Tensions have begun to mount back in the Big Apple as the series heads to the Bronx for Game 3 and 4 with the Yankees down 2-0.
And many frustrated Yankees fans have begun to turn on their captain as they furiously lashed out on social media.
One fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter to vent as they posted: ‘That game falls on Aaron Judge and his pathetic 9th inning at bat. Volpe too.
‘Soto showed up and nobody else did til the 9th. Too little too late. Just not a serious team. I guess at least we’re heading back to the Bronx but my faith is waning. Team just isn’t good enough.’
‘Aaron Judge is singlehandedly tarnishing his own legacy this postseason,’ another said. ‘Can’t even compare him to Mattingly because Mattingly never had a chance in the playoffs until 1995, and he still had a legacy moment that one shot he had. This is an ongoing trend for Judge. For a Yankee CAPTAIN to be so poor in the postseason, moreover the World Series… this is something that fans won’t ever get over.’
‘The Yankees would be better off with Judge Judy at the plate the way Aaron Judge is going,’ one account fumed, while another quipped: ‘all rise? more like all fries when aaron judge hands me my bag at mcdonalds.’

‘I am legitimately starting to feel bad for Aaron Judge,’ another chimed in. ‘It has to be the biggest mind f*** ever to go from being the best hitter on planet earth in the regular season to a lacrosse player trying out baseball for the first time in the playoffs. It’s crazy.’
Others insisted that Judge showing up would prove to be the difference against the Dodgers.
‘This series isn’t on anyone but Aaron Judge,’ one special media user wrote. ‘If the franchise player you build the entire lineup around delivers zero, then you can’t win. Everything else is window dressing. He cost this franchise a championship, and that goes on the permanent record.’
Another added: ‘This team needs aaron judge. period. they cannot win a world series without him producing. just a massive disappointment, holy s***. f***ing heartbreaking.’

‘I legitimately don’t know if there were 2 worse, more painful ways that we could’ve lost the first 2 games of this series The one constant between the two is that Aaron Judge has done nothing,’ a third agreed.
Judge swung and missed six times in his four at-bats in Game 2. The entire Dodgers roster only did that 12 times.
Judge will probably win his second American League MVP award after the season ends, but he is nobody’s idea of an October hero.
He is 6 for 40 with two homers and a whopping 19 strikeouts in these playoffs, getting all six of his RBIs during a three-game stretch in the AL Championship Series. He is 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position, and he has just one hit in his last 22 at-bats in that situation dating to past postseasons.
